Kevin was appointed as the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Airports Association in 2009. The Association is the not-for-profit organisation representing New Zealand’s 30 commercial airports, including the international airports. NZ Airports has two main roles: as an advocate for its member airports, and to promote co-operation, mutual assistance, information exchange and professional development for members. Prior to his appointment, Kevin was the managing director of his own consulting company, working in the fields of policy, strategy and regulation. From 1992 to 2001 he was the founding Chief Executive of the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority and the Director of Civil Aviation. Prior to the Civil Aviation Authority Kevin was General Manager of Maritime Transport at the Ministry of Transport. He holds a Masters Degree in Geography from the University of Canterbury NZ, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport NZ.
